Boland College

Boland College is a public Further Education and Training Institution. The College serves the widespread, rural, geographical area of the Boland, which includes the Winelands, Overberg, Breede River Valley, Hex River Valley and Helderberg regions. Boland College consists of five campuses, namely Caledon, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Strand and Worcester.

The College thus strives to provide access to Further Education and Training (Further Education and Training) in different modes and at a range of sites in local communities. In order for many learners to be able to continue in the Further Education and Training band, the College has been offering Pre-Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET), ABET Levels 1 – 4, for the past five years. All the learners write the examination of the International Examination Board (IEB) to ensure that they meet the quality assurance national standard.

The College operates in the Western Cape. Training need not take place at the campuses only, but training can be taken to the learner, whichever is more convenient. Training is thus institutional or campus-based, but is also workplace-based. Training can take place wherever it is more convenient for the learner.

In all its activities, the College strives to fulfil the objectives of the Further Education and Training and the Skills Development Act and wholeheartedly supports the objectives of the National Skills Development Strategy.
