Northlink College

Northlink College is a nationally registered Further Education and Training (FET) Institution. These educational institutions are government owned and governed, in this case, by the Western Cape Education Department's (WCED) Directorate for FET. The Department of Education is the official employer, but the WCED appoints a management team at each of the colleges to manage each institution and its assets on their behalf.

Northlink College operates on 8 Campuses in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. The Bellville, Goodwood, Table Bay and Wingfield Campuses offer Engineering related courses. The Parow, Protea and Tygerberg Campuses offer Business, Utility and Social Services related courses, and the newly acquired Belhar Campus offers Building related courses. For a complete list of courses offered visit www.northlink.co.za

FET Colleges offer nationally accredited courses according to the new SAQA requirements that fit levels 2 - 4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). In some cases up to level 6 can be offered. National and International accredited tertiary programmes are also offered by the college.

Students can enrol at the college, either as an alternative to senior high school (Grades 10 - 12) and obtain a matric at the college by doing the NIC and NSC courses or attend the college once they have completed matric at school and then follow either NQ Level Courses, National Certificate Courses or National/International Diploma Courses.

FET Colleges also offer Learnerships and Skills courses as well as various part-time and enrichment courses.

FET Colleges believe in hands-on training and equipping students with useful knowledge and skills that would ensure employment in the labour market. Various business units exist within the institution to ensure students get the necessary practical experience.
