What is Management in a nutshell?
In a nutshell management is aimed at students who will study managerial subjects at Public FET Colleges and then exit for further learning or employment in a management field. The programme integrates academic knowledge and theory with practical skills.

Which are the fundamental subjects?
The 3 fundamental subjects are:

  • Language which must at least be a language of teaching and learning,
  • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and
  • Life Orientation.

What are the vocational subjects in Generic Management?
The vocational subjects in Management are:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Management Practice
  • Operations Management
  • Financial Management

These subjects are offered at each of the different NQF Levels of study in the National Certificate (Management) qualification.

What Vocational activities would this give you access to?
The holder of the National Certificate (Management) will be able to:
